About Last Night

Last night was one of my best nights for me in a long long time.

The boys gathered to see Perks. Still as good as I remembered. Still very easy to identify with my own identity development.

My friends noticed that I was looking smaller. It was great to hear this and gave my confidence a nice boost. However, my insecure side still wonders if people say things just to be nice or if there really has been change. I’m choosing to trust my friends and believe in the ladder.

Afterwards, the gang decided to go to this Thai restaurant. I don’t like Thai food at all, so I thought that I would be okay. Being social got the better of me and I slipped. Ordered the homemade coconut ice cream. Figured it would beat the fried banana. Since it has been so long since I’ve had ice cream, this was the most delicious food I’ve had in like forever! So creamy and so delicious. So not happy with myself for that one.

I hate that I slipped when I was doing so well! But, the journey is far from over. Just gotta get back in the saddle and keep going. Speaking of which:

Today is the 1.5 hour run as well as Insanity. Get it! First, a trip to Walmart is in order to obtain a new phone arm band.

  1. Get after it today!!!

  2. One dessert does not a program ruin! You got this! 🙂

  3. I agree with Shannon. A little indulgence, like a scoop of ice cream, every once in a while is often well-earned. A healthy lifestyle isn’t about deprivation, it’s about balance – consistent moderation. Good luck on your run!
